The elephant had entered the Kerala border around 1 am. Reached Mananthavady at 3 am. When Ajeesh went to the road to call some workers at 7 am, saw the elephant. Ajeesh and others seeing the tusker ran for their lives. Ajeesh and Sanju, who was with him, jumped the gate of Jomon's compound and when trying to run Ajeesh fell down and immediately the elephant trampled him to death.
