THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A two-year-old nomadic girl was abducted in the capital city. The girl identified as Mary, is daughter of Amardeep and Rabeena Devi, natives of L P Nagar in Hyderabad. She was abducted when she was sleeping with her three siblings.

It has been hinted that she was kidnapped in an Activa scooter. The family’s statement to the police said that she was missing by 12 am. The child’s brother said that a yellow scooter came and there was only one in it. The child was abducted from the area where mostly migrant labourers reside.

The police have intensified search soon after the complaint was lodged. The investigation is led by Thiruvananthapuram city police commissioner. The police have not received any clear clues hours after the child went missing.

The incident happened near All Saints College. A search is on at railway stations taking into account the situation of abducting the child in a train. As there is no clarity on the exact time of the abduction, the investigation team is a bit confused. The police are also examining the CCTV visuals. The police have also tightened checks at the district borders.
