Masturbated in front of lady doctor; Youngster goes scot-free as police delay arrest

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have not yet nabbed the man who masturbated in front of a female doctor while undergoing consulting through the eSanjeevani portal. The incident took place on January 25. The doctor had filed a complaint the very next day only to receive a timid response from the officials.

During the consultation, the patient’s name was shown as Rahul Kumar from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. At first, no video appeared from the patient’s side. When enquired by the doctor, the video appeared and the face was seen. The doctor then asked about the health issues only to receive a silent response. The video suddenly went downwards and shockingly; the man was seen masturbating on the screen.

“This incident happened on January 25th. I had complained to my Chief Nodal Officer on the morning of the 26th. A screenshot was taken. The case was registered on the 30th. After some delay, Thampanoor police called me to enquire about the incident. Later I gave a statement on the 11th of February. As the night duty was done at my house on my laptop, the police suggested the case be transferred to Kazhakoottam police station at the locality of the house.

On the 14th, the female police of Kazhakoottam station took my statement again. On the 15th, CI and Cyber ​​Police came to the house and checked the laptop. All the call details were noted down.

The police said that the accused's name was Ananthu and he looked 25 years old. The parents of this boy came to my house on the 14th to withdraw the case. Even before the police reached my home to take restatement, the accused’s parents were at my home pleading for forgiveness.” The doctor revealed this to a TV channel.

Meanwhile, reports say that the accused is a PG student. It is reported that a similar case has been registered against him earlier.
