THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Reports claim that Senior CPI leader Pannyan Raveendran has agreed to be the LDF candidate at Thiruvananthapuram in the Lok Sabha elections. Annie Raja is likely to be the CPI candidate in Wayanad. VS Sunilkumar will enter the fray in Thrissur and CA Arunkumar in Mavelikara. The final decision in this regard will be taken in the state leadership meetings on February 26.

Earlier, Pannyan Raveendran had denied the rumours that he might be a candidate. At that time, he said that the candidate discussions have not started and any news that is coming out now is not a decision and should not be disseminated. He had earlier declared that he won't be involved in election politics and should not be harmed.

'The situation in Thiruvananthapuram is favourable for the Left. People there will vote for the left. My name is always heard in elections. So it's not a big deal. I am not going to enter electoral politics. I will convince the party about this. This is not a decision. So don't advertise me as a candidate. I have to request you to not harm me," Pannyan Raveendran added.
