KOTTAYAM: Congress leader Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan MLA has responded to the allegation that Padmaja Venugopal, who joined the BJP, faced neglect in the Congress. Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said that he did not know that Padmaja had faced neglect within the party.

Thiruvanchoor rejected Padmaja's allegation that it was her own party members who defeated her in Thrissur in the last assembly elections.

"If that was the case, Padmaja should have lodged a complaint with me, the chairman of the party's disciplinary committee. She has not given any complaint so far," Thiruvanchoor said.

Earlier, Padmaja's brother and Vadakara MP K Muraleedharan had come forward against Padmaja's decision to join the BJP. Murali said that Padmaja had committed a big deception. Muraleedharan also said that he would no longer have any relationship with her anymore.
