Sudhakaran contesting again; MM Hassan made interim chairman of KPCC

mm-hassan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: AICC has given temporary charge of KPCC president to MM Hassan. The responsibility was given to him because K Sudhakaran is contesting again in the Lok Sabha elections. The task has been given only for the duration of the Lok Sabha elections. MM Hassan is currently the UDF convener.

Meanwhile, the Congress candidates for the Lok Sabha elections in Kerala have been announced. The decisive move is to field K Muralidharan in Thrissur, K Karunakaran's constituency, to overcome the backlash of Padmaja Venugopal going to the BJP. All but Thrissur sitting MP TN Pratapan have been given another chance.

KC Venugopal is back to regain Alappuzha, which he lost last time when Congress won all other 19 seats. With this, the constituency contested by AM Arif and Shobha Surendran is sure to witness a triangle fight.
