55-year-old man dies in Thiruvananthapuram after brutally beaten by children

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A man met with a tragic end after his children beat him brutally and pushed him into a canal following a family dispute. The dead is Sudhakaran (55) of Sunita Bhawan at Gandhi Nagar in Venjaramoodu Ambalamukku. The shocking incident happened at 11 pm last night.

Sudhakaran got into a verbal spat with his children while having food during his wife's birthday celebrations. His daughter intervened first and later he had a verbal dispute with his other two children. Following the incident, his children beat him brutally and then pushed him into the nearby canal. Sudhakaran, who was seriously injured, was taken to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital by his younger son and locals. However, Sudhakaran died early morning at 1.30 am. Sudhakaran's sons Hari and Krishna have been taken into custody by the Venjaramoodu police.
