19-year-old pregnant woman found hanging, alleged dispute with husband over education

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 19-year-old pregnant woman was found hanging in Varkala Manambur. A young woman named Lakshmi died at her home in Perettkadu. She was a third-year graduate student. The police said that there were disputes with her husband Kiran regarding further education.

The incident happened yesterday evening. Lakshmi's body was found hanging from the window in the rented house of Lakshmi and her husband. People, including locals, reached the hospital but could not save her life.

The marriage was eleven months ago. Later, Lakshmi and her husband were staying at the rented house. It is reported that other relatives were also living in the house. The body has been shifted to the hospital for post-mortem. Kadakkavur police registered a case and started an investigation.
