Thalapathy Vijay lands in Thiruvananthapuram; fans give him rousing reception

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Tamil superstar Vijay, who arrived in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday for the shooting of his latest film 'GOAT', received an enthusiastic reception from his fans at the airport. Vijay reached the domestic airport in Thiruvananthapuram at 5 pm. Thousands of fans had been waiting on the airport premises since 7 in the morning to catch a glimpse of their favourite star.

Vijay, who arrived in a chartered plane, came out of the airport under the guard of private security forces. The star, who was seen with a new hairstyle and a clean-shaven look, was covered by fans by the time he got into the car. Fans greeted the superstar with a flower shower as he opened the sunroof of the car and waved at them. Following this, the police moved the fans to both sides and made way for the car to move forward. A huge police team was present at the airport to control the fans. There was a huge traffic jam on the airport road.

Some of the airport staff clicked selfies with Vijay. The 49-year-old actor will be in Thiruvananthapuram till March 23. The shooting of 'GOAT' will take place at the Greenfield Stadium in Karyavattom and International Airport. According to reports, the climax portions of the film will be shot in these locations. 'GOAT' is directed by renowned Tamil filmmaker Venkat Prabhu.
