THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After a 26-year-old BDS student was killed on Tuesday as a huge rock fell on him from a truck, another shocking accident involving a tipper lorry has claimed the life of a man here. The deceased Sudheer, a native of Malayinkeezhu, died after a tipper lorry hit his bike in Panavila near Bakery Junction.
The tipper lorry coming from Thampanoor hit Sudheer's bike and knocked it down. Sudhir was admitted to the medical college after the accident but could not be saved.
According to eyewitnesses, the tipper sped forward at excessive speed after crossing the traffic signal. The accident took place at Panavila Junction on Wednesday evening. After passing the signal in Panavila, the tipper overtook the scooter and its rear side hit Sudheer's bike. The bike fell down and the tipper ran over Sudheer's body.
On Tuesday, a BDS student died after a stone fell on his body from a tipper lorry in Vizhinjam. Ananthu, the deceased, was rushed to a private hospital with serious injuries on his hand and head but to no avail.
