Theft gang from Rajasthan robs doctor’s house in Attingal

ATTINGAL: The police arrested the accused who broke into a doctor's house in broad daylight and stole 50 sovereigns and Rs 4.5 lakh. Kishanlal (27) and Sanwar Lal (26), natives of Rajasthan, were arrested by the Attingal police from Thandodi, in Rajasthan. The accused who were produced in the Rajasthan court will be brought to Kerala today. A team led by sub inspector Adarsh and rural Dansaf sub inspector Biju Kumar caught the accused.


The theft at the house of Arun Srinivasan, a dentist, near Attingal Valiyakunnu taluk hospital, happened on March 6. The doctor and his family came to know about the theft when they returned home at night after attending the death function of their relative. The police reached to the accused in an investigation conducted based on the CCTV footage.

The police said both of them belong to a gang that breaks into houses and establishments and robs everything skillfully. They come under the guise of selling toys and clothes at festival grounds and roadsides. Such groups with women and children stay in tents on the roadside. They will then choose empty houses for the theft.
