NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate ED) yesterday in the excise policy case, will be produced in court today. The ED will seek his custody for interrogation. According to the investigation team, Kejriwal is the brain behind the excise policy scam. The interrogation is continuing at ED headquarters.

Meanwhile, the AAP is planning to organise a nationwide protest against Kejriwal's arrest. Party workers have been directed to assemble at the AAP headquarters in the morning. The Supreme Court will consider the plea filed by Kejriwal against his arrest. Kejriwal is claiming that his arrest was illegal.

Opposition parties have come out in support of Kejriwal. Rahul Gandhi spoke to Kejriwal's family on the phone. Congress has expressed its full support. Rahul might go see Kejriwal in person today or tomorrow.

At the same time, the BJP has approached the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi demanding Kejriwal's resignation. They are demanding that the President's rule should be imposed in Delhi if he is not ready to resign. Atishi Marlena, a minister and senior leader of the AAP, had earlier said that Kejriwal will not resign and will run the government from jail.
