NEW DELHI: Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raised further questions regarding an order issued by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is currently in jail in a liquor case. Sources within the ED stated that Kejriwal was not provided with any computer or paper for this purpose. Allegedly, the minister handed over a letter to Minister Atishi Marlena with instructions to address water supply issues in Delhi.
Sunita Kejriwal visited the ED headquarters and the investigation is ongoing as per statements from the ED. According to ED, Sunita arrived with some papers to meet Kejriwal, after which several workers entered the car and left. Minister Atishi had informed the media about the new order expressing that Kejriwal's concern remained focused on the welfare of his family of two crore people in Delhi, even during his custody by the ED. ED will request further information from Atishi regarding the issuance of the order. BJP has alleged that Kejriwal's letter to Atishi was premeditated.
Kejriwal was taken into ED custody on Thursday in connection with a money laundering case related to the liquor policy. He has been remanded in ED custody until March 28. Aam Aadmi Party has asserted that Arvind Kejriwal will continue to serve as the Chief Minister despite his detention.
