THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Father of J Siddharthan on Monday visited Union Minister and NDA candidate from Thiruvananthapuram Rajeev Chandrasekhar to seek justice for his son’s tragic death. The family decided to meet the NDA candidate after learning about the university withdrawing the suspension of SFI leaders who were accused of the crime. However, after the Governor intervened in the case, the university decided to impose back the suspension.

“After CM Pinarayi Vijayan released a circular regarding CBI investigation, no further progress was made in the case even after several weeks.” Siddharth’s father told the media after coming out from Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s election committee office. Concerns were expressed that the longer the investigation was delayed; the more likely evidence would be lost or destroyed.

“There should be clarity in the proceedings regarding the CBI investigation which is said to have been announced by the Chief Minister in Siddharth's death,” Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that he will not stand by and see the perpetrators of this brutal crime go free.
