The years of hard work and perseverance slowly took shape on-screen on Thursday as director Blessy’s magnum opus ‘Aadujeevitham’ was released amidst much anticipation from audiences across south India. The movie is the adaptation of the bestselling novel by Benyamin. The eponymous novel is considered to be one of the most successful; works ever made in Malayalam. The novel tells the real-life story of Najeeb, a native of Pathisseril in Arattupuzha, who survived inexplicable torture in the Gulf, albeit reaching the desert land in high hopes of a better future.

On Thursday, Najeeb was in attendance to watch the movie. After the premiere ended, media people circled him for the review. Najeeb who was emotionally stricken by what he saw on screen and said he would hug actor Prithviraj if he were to meet him now.

“Prithviraj has done a tremendous role. He has acted well. In most scenes, I was crying and in some, I couldn't bear to watch.” Najeeb said.

Najeeb attended the premier albeit going through the bereavement caused by the death of his one-year-old grandchild, who died just a week back. It was only with the persistence of the filmmakers that Najeeb decided to attend the event.
