Police file case against Sathyabhama under non-bailable sections for derogatory remarks

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In connection with her derogatory remarks, police have registered a case against dancer Kalamandalam Sathyabhama under non-bailable sections. The Thiruvananthapuram Cantonment Police's action is based on a complaint filed by Kalabhavan Mani's brother and Mohiniyattam artiste RLV Ramakrishnan. She is also booked under the provisions of the SC and ST sections.

According to Ramakrishnan's complaint, Sathyabhama made personal insults against him in an interview with a YouTube channel. Ramakrishnan's complaint to Chalakudy DySP was forwarded to Thiruvananthapuram Cantonment Police for further action. A case has also been charged against the YouTube channel that aired the interview.
