Biju was killed in an attack by a wild elephant at two o'clock this morning. The elephant rushed towards Biju when he stepped out of the house with headlights to chase it away. His wife, Daisy, informed the media that she and her husband had gone out together to chase the elephant.
Biju was found dead 50 meters away from the house. The locals refused to remove the body from the site. They stated that they would not permit the body to be moved until District Collector Prem Krishna arrives.
