KSRTC dismisses driver for causing accident that killed biker

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A bus driver has been dismissed from the service after a biker died in a collision with a KSRTC bus driven by him.

KSRTC informed that KSRTC driver V Brijesh has been dismissed in connection with the accident that took place at Kottayam's Kalathipadi on March 29.

The said super fast bus was going from Thiruvalla to Madurai when it hit the biker.

An investigation conducted by the vigilance department on the instructions of the KSRTC CMD found that the accident occurred due to excessive speed and careless driving of the driver. KSRTC officials said that the driver was dismissed on the basis of this report.
