Helmet-clad duo robs ornaments from jewellery store in Thrissur, escapes on bike after staff made noise

THRISSUR: Two robbers broke into a jewellery showroom and robbed two ornaments of one sovereign each while the shop was being closed in Pazhayannur in Thrissur on Tuesday night. As per reports, the accused came wearing helmets. After stealing the jewellery, the robbers escaped on a bike.

The employees were preparing to close the jewellery at night when the crime took place. As the robbers were escaping on a bike. the employees ran after them and made noise but could not catch them. The visuals of two helmet-clad robbers have been caught on CCTV. The police registered a case and started investigation.

Meanwhile, the batteries of a KSRTC bus parked near the police station in Kannur's Iritty were stolen. The bus was parked near the police station last night. While trying to start the bus in the morning, the theft came to light.
