Tharoor declares assets worth Rs 55 crore including land worth Rs 6 crore in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Shashi Tharoor, the UDF candidate of Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha constituency, has declared assets worth Rs 55 crore. He is eyeing a fourth consecutive win from the constituency. Tharoor declared his assets in the nomination papers filed yesterday. Tharoor has declared a total income of Rs 4.32 crores in the financial year 2022-2023. Tharoor has mentioned in the affidavit that he has immovable assets of Rs 49 crore and various investments, bonds and mutual funds in 19 banks.

His movable assets include 534 grams of gold worth Rs 32 lakh and Rs 36,000 as cash in hand. The value of the inherited property is 1.56 lakhs. Has 2.51 acres of agricultural land in Palakkad, 10.47 acres of land in Thiruvananthapuram worth over 6.20 crore. The price of his flat in the capital city is Rs 52 lakh. Tharoor owns two cars, a Maruti Ciaz and Maruti XL6.

Tharoor, who is contesting from the Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha constituency for the fourth time, declared assets of Rs 23 crore in 2014 and in 2019 over Rs 35 crore.
