Beggar's attack on TTE: Case handed over to Thiruvananthapuram railway police

KOCHI: The Thiruvananthapuram Railway Police will investigate the case of a beggar attacking a TTE in anger over demanding a ticket. The Ernakulam Railway Police registered a case on the complaint of the attacked TTE Jayson Thomas, of Padayattil House in Aluva's Pukkattupadi and handed over the FIR to the Thiruvananthapuram Railway Police for further investigation taking into account the location of the incident.

The accused is 55 years old. The railway police said that the aim is to quickly catch the accused after examining the CCTV footage. The beggar sratched the TTE eyes as soon as the train started moving from Thiruvananthapuram railway station and escaped soon after by jumping from the train. The accused did not have a ticket with him.
