Man and woman found dead inside Olakara forest died due to poisoning, states post-mortem report

THRISSUR: According to the post-mortem report of a man and a woman found dead inside the Olakara forest, they duo died due to consumption of poison. The dead bodies of Vinod (52) of Kudumikal house in Kizhkkancherry's Panamkutty and Sindhu (35) hailing Kodumbala Adivasi colony were found inside Olakara forest area after they went missing since March 27.

Police assumes that the duo might have committed suicide by taking poison together. Vinod's body was found hanging from a tree and Sindhu's body was lying on the ground. According to sources, duo were close for some time.

The tower location of their mobile phone was identified in Olakara forest area during the inspection conducted by the police with the help of cyber cell. The investigation was then extended to the forest. Later, the body was found with the help of specially trained cadaver police dogs Maya and Murphy brought from Ernakulam and a police dog named Harley brought from Palakkad.
