The party hopes that Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar will stop Shashi Tharoor, who is entering the election arena for the fourth time after hat-trick victories. Former MP Pannyan Raveendran is the LDF candidate in the constituency where two national leaders are battling each other. "I am open to a debate with Shashi Tharoor on ideas, development and whose track record is better. I have been saying this from the beginning.' Rajeev Chandrasekhar had said while talking to the local media during the election campaign. 'Yes, I welcome a debate. But the people of Thiruvananthapuram are aware of who has been evading a debate till now. Let us debate politics and development. Let us debate price hike, unemployment, corruption, communalism and the BJP's 10 years of propagating politics of hatred.' Tharoor wrote on X sharing the video of Rajeev Chandrasekhar's challenge
