THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Driver Yadu has been detained in connection with the missing memory card of the bus camera in the case where Mayor Arya Rajendran and the KSRTC driver had an argument. Yadu was taken into custody by Thampanoor police and brought to the Thiruvananthapuram city police commissioner's office. Yadu was taken into custody from his house in the evening. Earlier, the police had called the station master and the conductor Subin, who was on the bus at the time of the incident, for questioning. Yadu was taken into custody after taking their statements and releasing them.
The day after the dispute with the mayor, Yadu had reached the KSRTC stand to give a statement to the ATO. The bus was there at the time but there are no CCTV cameras here. However, the police indicate that they have got some evidence that Yadu went to the spot where the bus was parked.
A case was registered by Thampanoor police on the complaint filed by KSRTC regarding the missing memory card. Police found the DVR of the camera during the bus inspection, but the DVR did not have a memory card. The bus had three surveillance cameras. There was a demand to check the footage of the bus in the background of allegations that the driver had made an obscene gesture against the mayor. The fact that the memory card was missing came to light when the bus was checked.
