BENGALURU: In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old girl's decapitated head was recovered on Sunday in Karnataka. Police have arrested 32-year-old Prakash for the gore crime.

Meena, who scored good marks in her tenth standard, was celebrating the victory at her home. At this time, Prakash crashed into the party and attacked the girl's parents with a sharp weapon. He then dragged Meena out of the house and slit her neck and confirmed her death. Later, in a sheer show of cannibalistic traits, Prakash decapitated the girl's head and walked away with it.

Prakash’s engagement with Meena was fixed last Thursday. However, the officials of the Women and Child Development Department intervened in the issue after getting a clue about the girl's age. The officials talked with the parents and convinced them to wait another two years before getting their daughter married.

The police say that the murder was carried out because of Prakash's anger over the marriage getting delayed.
