'Welcome to Malayalam movie world'; Abhimanyu to carry forward Thilakan's legacy

Actor Unni Mukundan is currently working on a grand project titled ‘Marco’ which will be directed by Haneef Adeni. The ensemble cast also includes newcomer Abhimanyu. The name may not be that familiar among moviegoers but the youngster is setting foot in the cine world with a mission to take forward the legacy of actor Thilakan, his grandfather. A poster welcoming Abhimanyu Thilakan on board the film has also appeared on social media.

Abhimanyu is the son of veteran Malayalam actor Shammy Thilakan.

‘Marco’ is currently shooting in Munnar and will shift to Kochi on May 17. For the first time in the history of Malayalam cinema, Marco comes with the distinction of being a spin-off movie of a villain.

This will be a full-length film based on the character of Marco Jr. played by Unni Mukundan in Nivin Pauly's film ‘Mikhael’. Other stars are Siddique, Jagadish, Anson Paul, Kabir Duhan Singh. The cinematography is by Chandru Selvaraj and the production is by Sharif Muhammad and Abdul Ghadaf under the banners of Cubes Entertainments and Unnimukundan Films.
