TEHRAN: As per reports, a helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi was involved in a hard landing in the city of Jolfa on the border with Azerbaijan, 600 km from Tehran, the capital of Iran. It is reported that Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian was also in the helicopter with the President.
News agencies also informed that bad weather has hampered rescue operations. Ebrahim Raisi was in East Azerbaijan to inaugurate the Qiz-Qalasi Dam along with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev. This is the third dam to be built on the Aras River by both countries. Further details are awaited.
