AHMEDABAD: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are just one win away from their third Indian Premier League title. Kolkata qualified for the final after emphatically defeating the mighty Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the first qualifier held in Ahmedabad. There is still one more chance for SRH to go to the finals despite the setback. In the second qualifier, SRH will play the winner of the eliminator match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals.

KKR crossed the target of 160 runs in just 13.4 overs. Captain Shreyas Iyer 58(24) and Venkatesh Iyer 51(28), who remained unbeaten with half-centuries, led the side to a convincing win. Openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sunil Narine scored 23(14) and 21(16) respectively. For SRH, T Natarajan and Pat Cummins took one wicket each.
