Woman develops labour pain in KSRTC bus, delivers baby before reaching hospital

THRISSUR: A woman delivered a baby while travelling on a KSRTC bus. Serena (37), wife of Lijeesh of Thirunavaya Mandro House, delivered in the fast passenger bus going to Thottilpalam from Thrissur. Serena was going to Thirunavaya. However, she went into labour pain when the bus reached Peramangalam. The bus was immediately diverted to Amala Hospital. By the time the bus reached the hospital, the baby was almost out.

As soon as the bus reached the hospital, the doctor and the nurse got into the bus and helped her in her delivery. Serena gave birth to a baby girl. The woman and her baby were admitted to the hospital and both are healthy, said the hospital.
