ALAPPUZHA: Following a viral stunt inspired by the movie 'Aavesham', YouTuber Sanju Techy has found himself in a spot as the Motor Vehicle Department in Alappuzha has initiated action against him and his friends. The driver's license of the person who drove and the RC book of the car was cancelled. Also, Sanju Techy aka TS Saju, driver Suryanarayanan, Abhilash and Stanley Christopher, who are natives of Alappuzha, have to attend the mandatory training at the Institute of Driver Training and Research of the Motor Vehicles Department at Malappuram's Edappal from June 3. They will also have to do community service for a week at Alappuzha Medical College Hospital.

Sanju, with help from his friends, created a makeshift swimming pool inside his car using a tarpaulin sheet. After a while, water started seeping into the driver's seat and inside the side. Sanju then asked his driver friend to open the door to drain the water in the middle of a busy road. This caused significant disruption to the traffic and troubled the onlookers.

Alappuzha Enforcement RTO R Ramanan said that there are several cases against the YouTuber for violating the Motor Vehicle Act and the Transport Commissioner has directed a detailed investigation. Officials have clarified that they are considering taking action, including the permanent cancellation of Sanju's license.

Airbag burst under the pressure of the water

On May 17, Sanju posted a video on YouTube of him making a swimming pool in his car and lying in it while travelling with his friends. The video has already been viewed by several lakhs of people. The officials of the motor vehicle department took notice of the incident and took the car into custody on Monday.

Yesterday, Sanju and his friends appeared before the Enforcement RTO. The swimming pool was set up by folding the middle seats of a seven-seater safari car and using a tarpaulin sheet. As the car's airbag burst due to the pressure of the water during the journey, the panicked group stopped by the roadside and to drain the water. Sanju explained to the authorities that he makes entertainment videos for a living and the makeshift pool video was done to generate income.
