This is first thing Suresh Gopi will do as Union Minister, says he has already initiated talks

NEW DELHI: Thrissur MP Suresh Gopi has said that the first thing he will do as Union Minister is to try and establish AIIMS in Kerala. Suresh Gopi stated that the discussion has started with the concerned persons. His response to the media was after taking oath as Union Minister. Suresh Gopi said that he still does not know about his portfolio.

Suresh Gopi and George Kurien were sworn in as ministers from Kerala in the third Modi Cabinet. Suresh Gopi took the oath in English in the name of God. President Draupadi Murmu administered the oath.BJP State General Secretary George Kurien also administered the oath in English in the name of God.

This is the first time that the BJP has a Lok Sabha member from Kerala.
