Elderly woman dies in Pantheerankavu after palm tree falls on her while moving soil with JCB

KOZHIKODE: An 88-year-old woman died after a big palm tree fell on her while moving soil using a JCB. She has been identified as Chiruthakutty of Pantheerankavu Arambachalil. The accident happened when soil was being removed using a JCB for the construction of a house in her nearby plot. The palm tree first fell on a jackfruit tree. Then both the jackfruit and the palm trees fell on Chiruthakutty, who was standing in the courtyard.
