‘Yoga tourism growing in places including Kerala’; should make it part of everyday life, says Modi

SRINAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the number of people doing yoga in the world is increasing day by day. Yoga is an asset to the economy. Yoga tourism is growing in places including Kerala. He said that even research studies are there on yoga in international universities.

Modi requested everyone to make yoga a part of their daily lives. Modi celebrated this year's Yoga Day in Srinagar. The programme was planned to be attended by seven thousand people under the leadership of the Prime Minister.

It was initially announced to start the programme at 6:30 in the morning. However, following heavy rains, the programme was delayed. The program was later shifted to a hall.
‘On the occasion of 10th International Day of Yoga, I request everyone to make yoga a part of everyday life. Yoga gives strength and good health. I am very happy to be able to participate in this year's programme in Srinagar,’ said Modi.

Prime Minister reached Jammu and Kashmir the other day. He had said that assembly elections will be held here soon and the day will come when people will shape their own future as a state. Modi was addressing the program 'Empowering Youth, Transforming Jammu and Kashmir' at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Center (SKICC) in the capital, Srinagar.

There is nothing better than the people of Jammu and Kashmir handling their problems through their own elected representatives. That is why preparations for assembly elections have started. The day is not far when you will elect the new government of Jammu and Kashmir by your own votes, Modi said.
