Police stops speeding car after much effort, seizes ganja from inside it

PALAKKAD: The Vadakancherry police chased down a car and seized ganja from it. The police took the speeding car into custody at Kallingal Padam in Vadakancheri by blocking the route with a police vehicle. Locals tried to stop the speeding car at various places but those inside the vehicle sped away. Finally, the car stopped after hitting a police vehicle. On inspecting the car, ganja was found in it. Three people in the car were taken into custody.

The police vehicle and car were damaged by the impact. The car, coming from Alathur side, was driven recklessly on the Kannambra Kallingal Padam road via Padoor. It was stopped by the police after being informed by the locals. However, the people in the car tried to bypass the police vehicle but failed. The accused were caught in a combined effort by the locals and the police.
