150 rupees and shelf life of 12 months; milma product loved by children and adults alike will reach all outlets soon

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Milma has launched ready-to-drink Palada Payasam and the new wave in ice cream, Tender Coconut Ice Cream. Palada Payasam, which is aimed at expatriates and through them the foreign markets, was launched by Milma Federation in collaboration with Malabar Union and Tender Coconut Ice Cream by Milma Ernakulam Union. These will be available through all outlets in the state.

Milma Federation Chairman KS Mani said that through this initiative, it will be possible to bring Palada Payasam, which is loved by children and adults alike, abroad. Ernakulam Regional Union Chairman MT Jayan stated that Ilanir Ice Cream was launched with the aim of bringing new flavours to Milma's ice cream.

The Palada Payasam is prepared and packaged aseptically using Microwave Assisted Thermal Sterilization (MATS) technology with a shelf life of up to twelve months. The speciality is that taste, smell and quality can be preserved without leakage.

It is manufactured at Tata's state-of-the-art MATS Smart Food plant at Sricity, Andhra Pradesh. It will be available in a 400-gram packet that can serve four people. The price is Rs 150. These products are launched as a part of the Repositioning Milma project.
