NEW DELHI: In a key breakthrough in the NEET-UG question paper leak case, the CBI on Wednesday arrested mastermind Aman Singh from Dhanbad in Jharkhand. This is the CBI's seventh arrest in the case. The arrested includes Hazaribagh school principal Ehsan-ul-Haq and examination centre superintendent Imtiaz Alam.

Previously, on Sunday, the CBI arrested Dixit Patel, the owner of Jay Jalaram School located in Panchmahal district. The investigation revealed that 27 students were asked to pay Rs 10 lakh to increase their scores.

The CBI has registered a case on the complaint of the Ministry of Human Resource Development and is investigating the NEET UG question paper leak. The CBI was forced to investigate after allegations of widespread irregularities in the examination conducted on May 5. Subsequently, other examinations conducted by the National Testing Agency were also postponed.
