Was it Drishyam model, body of Kala shifted from septic tank? More information surface

ALAPPUZHA: More information is out in the Kala murder case in Mannar. Reports said the investigating team suspect that the body has been shifted from the septic tank. The septic tank was cleaned twice after the incident.

Some body parts suspected to be that of Kala were obtained from the septic tank in an inspection conducted the other day. These have been produced in the court. More clarity will be obtained only after the results are obtained from the lab.

The accused first thought to dump the body in the lake. However, as the situation was not favorable for them, they changed their decision. The investigation team had earlier stated that Kala's husband Anil Kumar along with his relatives committed the crime and destroyed the evidence.

Anil is in Israel. Anil's brother-in-law Somarajan, relatives Jinu Gopi, Pramod, Santhosh and Suresh Kumar are in custody in the case. They are being interrogated by the police. It is concluded that Anil's suspicion led him to commit the murder.

Kala, daughter of Chellappan and Chandrika, went missing 15 years ago from Mannar. The couple’s son was one-year-old then. Anil lodged a complaint soon after she went missing. He wandered many places in the name of finding her. Meanwhile, Anil circulated that she eloped with someone after leaving him and their son. He later got married again. Kala's son is with them now.

The FIR said Kala was murdered in the car at the Valiyaperumpuzha Bridge in 2009. The custody application of the police suspect that the crime was committed with a weapon.
Apart from murder, the accused have also been charged with tampering with evidence. Anil is the first accused in the case. The police said they have not been able to contact him so far and efforts are being made to find him and bring him back.

Love marriage
Kala and Anil, neighbours and belonging to different communities got married after being in a relationship. They were staying in another house as Anil’s parents were against the relationship. Anil, a building contractor, flew abroad to clear his debts. Meanwhile, Kala eloped with another person and started living with him. Anil came to know about this. Police said that after reaching home, he persuaded Kala and took her in a car, killed her and dumped the body in the septic tank with the help of the other accused.
