YouTuber Sanju Techy, who was penalized by MVD, invited as chief guest of function at government school, invitation withdrawn after criticism

ALAPPUZHA: YouTuber Sanju Techy, who was penalized for violating road rules, was announced as a chief guest at a function in a government school. The organizer of the event, launch of the student magazine at Mannancherry GHS, is a member of the Alappuzha district panchayat who is a CPM leader. Sanju's name is given in the notice and poster of the event. Sanju's driving license was recently revoked by the MVD after he built a swimming pool in a moving car.

Following much criticism, the government high school in Mannancherry withdrew the invitation to YouTuber Sanju Techy (TS Sanju).

The panchayat members also disagreed with the invite and announced their decision not to participate in the event.

The MVD made serious objections to the license cancellation order. It is said that Sanju is a habitual criminal and defies the legal system. The report also pointed out that his driving was a threat to the public and violated all public etiquette.

Sanju had explained to the motor vehicle department's notice that he set up a swimming pool in the car and travelled due to ignorance and did not know that modifying the shape of vehicles is a traffic violation. The YouTuber also requested not to take more drastic action.

The Mannancheri police had registered a case against Sanju Techy and his friends for making alterations inside the vehicle. The action was taken on the complaint of Alappuzha Enforcement RTO R Ramanan. Sanju is the first accused and Suryanarayanan, a native of Avalukunnu who drove the car, is the second accused. The other accused are Stanley Christopher (28) and G Abhilash (29), natives of Alappuzha, who travelled with them. The offences include reckless driving on public roads, endangering human life and disturbing public safety.
