THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The parents of the minor children, who were victims of sexual abuse by cricket coach Manu, have approached the Kerala High Court alleging that the police investigation into the incident is ineffective. The parents also demanded that a high-level investigation should be announced into the case.

In their petition, the parents levelled extremely serious allegations against Manu. They said that Manu was not alone in the case and that the investigation should be expanded to his friends and employees in the KCA. The parents, who demanded that the devices containing the visuals of the children should be seized and destroyed, also expressed doubt that Manu had given drugs to the children. The parents further alleged that the accused had earlier settled some cases against him by paying money.

Manu is currently on remand in the case of molesting the girls. It is reported that he had been harassing the girls for ten years. At present, he has been booked for six cases, including capturing the naked pictures of minor girls. Following his arrest, more people have come out with complaints against him. The police said that they will conduct an investigation into these complaints.

The Human Rights Commission had registered a suo moto case against Manu. It also sent a notice to the Kerala Cricket Association seeking an explanation regarding the incident.
