Patient stuck in damaged lift of medical college for a day 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An elderly man stuck in the damaged lift of the medical college hospital for a day and a half has been rescued. Ravindran Nair of Thiruvananthapuram, who reached the hospital's ortho department at 11 am on Saturday, got stuck inside the lift. The lift operator while fixing the technical issue Monday morning found a man lying unconscious inside. He was lying in the middle of excrement.

The lift got damaged on Saturday noon. Ravindran Nair got stuck in the lift at that time. However, the hospital authorities did not even confirm whether anyone was trapped in the damaged lift.

Ravindran Nair's mobile phone fell on the ground and was not working. Nair said when the lift stopped suddenly with a loud noise, the mobile phone fell on the ground and broke. He is out of danger.
