KATTAPPANA: Melshanthi Madhusudhan of the Meppara Sri Maha Vishnu Temple has been blessed with a windfall of Rs one crore, having won the first prize in the Fifty Fifty Lottery drawn on Wednesday. Madhusudhanan, who has served as the head priest of the Meppara temple for 20 years, secured the prize with the ticket number FT 506060, purchased from Krishna Lottery Agency.

This win marks a significant turn of fortune for Madhusudhanan, who regularly participates in lottery draws. In the past, he has won small amounts but five years ago, he narrowly missed out on the first prize of 70 lakhs due to a difference of just one digit.

Madhusudhanan's family includes his wife Athira and their children, Vaishnav and Vaigalakshmi. The head priest is highly respected and appreciated by the temple devotees and this latest win is seen as a divine blessing for his dedicated service.
