SHIRUR: It has been decided not to send the dredger from Thrissur Agricultural University to conduct search operations for missing truck driver Arjun in Shirur. The committee after visiting the place reported to the Thrissur district administration that there were fewer chances of positive results with dredgers due to the silt and flow of the Gangavali river. Meanwhile, traffic resumed on the national highway through Shirur.

Local fisherman Eshwar Malpe, the expert diver of Shirur, has informed the family of Kozhikode native Arjun about the water level plummeting in Gangavali due to the approaching new moon day. It is expected that the water level will fall in the river on Saturday for three hours. Arjun’s relatives will reach Shirur on Saturday morning while Eshwar Malpe will yet again go into the depths of the river with high hopes of finding Arjun.
