PARIS: The Indian hockey team will enter the field on Tuesday against Germany with an eye only for the final of the Olympics. If India manages a win on Tuesday, the team will walk straight to their first Olympic final in hockey after 44 years. A win in the match will pave the way for India to win gold or silver. Indian hockey team are the reigning Olympic bronze medalists.

The match will start at 10.30 pm IST.

India's hopes rest on Malayali goalie PR Sreejesh and captain Harmanpreet Singh. Sreejesh turned into a wall in the quarter-final match against Britain and helped the team enter the semifinals. This Olympics will be the swansong of the Malayali veteran goalkeeper.

In the shooting mixed skeet event on Sunday, the combination of Maheshwari Chauhan and Anantjeet Singh lost the bronze medal match by a single point.
