Expatriates, take note: Dubai airport introduces color-coded parking facility

DUBAI: Officials have given sly hint about the possible reforms happening in Dubai airport. The authorities have informed about providing colour-coded facilities in the car parking spaces from next month for the convenience of the passengers. The instruction regarding this was issued last day.

Officials clarify that it will be more convenient for passengers landing at Dubai airport. Passengers can quickly identify the location of the pick-up car using the colour code. Dubai is one of the world's most busiest airport with huge passenger traffic. Considering the situation, the authorities have deemed the new introduction helpful for the arriving tourists.

At present, Dubai International Airport has three departure terminals. Thousands of people arrive at the airport every day to pick up passengers. Once the colour code is introduced, the vehicle can be located quickly. Currently, parking rates at Terminal One range from Dh15 to Dh125 per hour. Prices range from Dh5 to Dh125 per hour at Terminals 2 and 3.

An additional cost of Dh100 is also charged if the time is extended. There is also a pre-booked facility for parking at Dubai International Airport's Terminal Two. Officials say that the place can be booked in advance through the website or by scanning the QR code.
