MLA Mukesh removed from film policy making committee; B Unnikrishnan retained

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor and MLA Mukesh has been dropped from the film policy making committee. Mukesh was dropped from the committee on the grounds of sexual allegations that were raised after the release of the Hema Committee report. The government had constituted a policy formulation committee with Shaji N Karun as its chairman ahead of the cinema conclave organized by the state government.

The opposition had come forward demanding that Mukesh should be removed from the film policy-making committee. Meanwhile, FEFKA president B Unnikrishnan has been retained in the committee. Padmapriya, Nikhila Vimal, Rajeev Ravi, Santhosh Kuruvila and C Ajoy are members of the committee apart from Unnikrishnan. Earlier, Ashiq Abu and Vinayan had come forward demanding that B Unnikrishnan be removed from the committee. However, only Mukesh was removed.
