BHOPAL: In a tragic incident, a 13-year-old boy collapsed and died during a DH program in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The deceased has been identified as Samar Billore, son of Kailash Billore.
Samar got out of his house after hearing loud music from outside. On seeing the locals dancing to the music, he too joined them. However, he soon collapsed and died. Samar had some heart problems. Doctors confirmed that the boy died of heart failure. Samar's father said that the DJ's sound was extremely loud.
Although Samar collapsed, people around him continued to dance. Samar's mother pleaded for help but no one listened. Despite repeated requests from the boy's mother, the organizers refused to reduce the sound. The family complained that the DJ did not turn off the music even after the child died.
As per rules, loudspeakers should not exceed 55 decibels during daytime and 45 decibels at night in residential areas. However, the DJ's sound was above 90 decibels during the event, the report says. The Bhopal Commissioner says that although the organizers have been given instructions regarding sound arrangements, nothing is being followed. Locals also complain that the loud sound of the DJ used to cause trouble for the elderly and sick.
