KAVALAPPARA: Ever since Kavalappara suffered from a landslide, a pet dog caught the attention of many as it continued to remain in the accident site waiting for its master. As per latest reports, the dog is undergoing trauma and depression after losing its master.

The dog's master, Shivan and his family are yet to be found from the ruins of the landslide. Shivan's house was fully destroyed during the landslide. The dog, which managed to escape miraculously, was later rescued by Humane Society International. However, it was seen reluctant to leave the accident site as it hopes to see his master. According to a member of Humane Society International, the dog is currently undergoing trauma as a result of the accident. He said, "The dog is in a state of depression. It is still attached to its owner and hopes to see him. It has also refused to take any food for the last two days. We are doing all we can to help it overcome the trauma and regain health."

Meanwhile, the death toll at Kavalappara has reached 46 today as six more bodies were recovered after an intense search. The authorities are taking all measures to identify the bodies.
