BENGALURU: The police have intensified the investigation in the case of the suicide of the techie in Bengaluru on the allegation of fake dowry harassment. Atul Subhash's wife and family members have been summoned. The accused must appear at Marathahalli police station within three days. Bengaluru police team arrived at Atul's wife's hometown of Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh and handed over the summons on the basis of Atul's brother's complaint.

Nikita Singhania, her mother Nisha, brother Anurag and uncle Sushil have been issued notices to appear. Atul's suicide note says that he is under mental pressure due to problems in his married life over the years. The wife's family had demanded Rs 3 crore compensation alleging fake dowry harassment. The wife had also filed a police complaint that Atul was the cause of her father's death. It was later found to be a fake complaint.

Relatives say that while the case was going on, the judge laughed at his wife's question about committing suicide if he could not pay his son's expenses.

In this video, Atul elaborated on the allegations that the money he makes is only used to strengthen his opponents and that his wife and relatives are trying to destroy him using his own money. Nikita, who initially demanded Rs 40,000 for the expenses of her four-year-old son, later demanded double this amount and later demanded one lakh a month in the court.
