THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Anyone who had seen the movie 'Minnal Murali' will know Josemon, who covered his forehead with his hair, glasses and fake smile. Without any help from his uncle’s super power, Josemon got A grade in the high school category of Chakyar Koothu! The contestant's name is Vasisht Umesh. When he performed the Chakyar Koothu, which is important for humor, in a very entertaining way, many people felt familiar with him. However, since he had painted his face in various ways, they weren’t sure about it.
When he removed his paint and came out after the competition, people ran to take selfies with the junior star of Minnal Murali. Vasisht is a ninth standard student of TRKHSS at Vaniyamkulam in Palakkad. He is the son of P Umesh and C Jyothi, teachers of the same school. Vasishth had earlier dressed up as Chakyar in connection with a public programme held in the school. After that, he wanted to learn Chakyar Koothu.
He got A Grade in the state school Kalolsavam after trained under Paingulam Narayana Chakyar. Vasisht had a good role in Basil Joseph’s hit film Minnal Murali along with Tovino Thomas. When studying in Shoranur AUP School at the age of six, Vasisht went to recite poetry in the arts camp and got attracted to acting seeing the drama camp. He then played a role in the drama. Apart from drama, he was active in all TV programmes and that paved the way for his entry to the film industry. When he came to know that Tovino Thomas will be coming on the concluding day of the Kalolsavam, he is now eager to see him again.
