Wild elephant attack in Wayanad Pulpally; tragic end for Karnataka native tribal youth

WAYANAD: A tribal youth from Karnataka met a tragic end after being attacked by a wild elephant in Wayanad Pulpally. Vishnu (22), a native of Karnataka's Kuta, died in the wild animal attack. The elephant attacked him in Kollivayal area of ​​Polanna within the Padiri reserve forest.

Vishnu had reached Kollivayal area of ​​Pulpally. The elephant attacked him when he was on his way to Karnataka, crossing the Kabani River through the reserve forest. The injured Vishnu was carried to the forest path by the forest guards who were on night inspection. He died on the way while being taken to Mananthavady Medical College Hospital in a forest department jeep.

Minister AK Saseendran has directed to pay his compensation tomorrow itself as he a tribal, although he is a native of Karnataka.
